In the depths

Walking the tightrope

that’s life

you are bound

to lose your balance

and fall down sometimes.

Do not be disheartened.

For downward it may be

it still is a distance.

Try not to be tough either.

For falling rocks shatter

on hitting the bottom

and iron only buries itself deeper.

Be flexible.

You will bounce back.

And who knows

you might also get hold of

a diamond or two this time.

For that is where they are found.

In the depths.

  1. I really like this; a wonderful reminder that it is okay not to be okay, but that you will be again.

I really like these lines, wonderful imagery the impact of that first line made all the more profound with the impact of the visual imagery.

  3. Great advice, Sundaram put so poetically, inserted into a fall and yet we are rewarded with a key.. to making life easier. This poem felt like a spoonful of solid wisdom that had just the right touch of sweetner, so we could ingest it so easily…a delicious lesson learned.
