A storm is coming
they warn.
Stay put. Stay in.
But, it cannot be more devastating
than the one
already raging inside me
tearing me apart
shred by bloody shred.
So I step out.

Beautiful. Indeed inner turmoil can kill in a slow painful manner unless we manage to step out of it.

Quite well, Thanks Sundaram. Watching the outside storm raging around us and waiting for the time we can step out ☺️

Sometime, in order, to get rid of that storm that’s, within, you need to, go out, into, the pouring rain, and get drenched…

When you have so much disturbance on the inside, there is not much left to fear on the outside. Bring it on…

Right you are…it’s only when the mind is stable that you see at all that there is a world outside. Thanks so much 🙏🙏

At times our inner turmoil is devastating enough that we don’t fear anything else. But still accepting that and facing another storm is courageous.

The external storm is seen. The internal is not. Yet, it’s often the internal that is far more devastating. Once seen that the others look mere pigmies. Thanks for leaving your kind words. Always a pleasure. 🙏🙏🙏🍀

Pleasure is all mine and you are right its always the unseen which is more destructive.

Did it rain after the storm?

Maybe it has, Chetna, but my senses are too clouded to realise yet. Perhaps, staying in the middle of storms is going to be the new norm. Just readying myself.
Thanks for asking, girl…🤜🤛🍀🏵️🌸

Who knows? Stepping into the storm, might be what was needed to calm the one inside of you. If you survive it, it will give you a new perspective..I have no doubt about that:) Thought provoking, Sundaram, as so many of yours are:)

Hey Karima. Glad to hear from you. Please excuse me for not being as active as before. But I’m working on it.
Now about the comment. Very well said, as you always do. It sure took my mind away from the inner turmoil for some time, and made me feel better. Perhaps you are right. It was needed to untangle me from the inner, and set me free.
Thanks dear. Take care….🙏🙏🌸🏵️🍀

Excellent work. Love the shift in the middle. And then the conclusion works so effectively.

Emotions and passions very well expressed . It is always easy to face and brave storms which rage in nature but the unrest and conflict within is often tormenting and difficult to contain . One seeks solace and release in nature the tempest within is more turbulent .

Absolutely…that’s why the people who can master the inner, and remain rooted in the centre of their beings deal with life in much better way.
Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts. 🙏🙏🙏🏵️🏵️

We must step out of our own mind if we stand any chance of conquering the demons within. As someone who struggles with depression this story resonates deeply with me about how I must face each day.
Thank you so much for sharing. 😊

Hey Hamish… I’m glad it made a positive impact on you. And we all face these inner demons. Just the faces are different, even though equally grotesque.
Thanks for stopping by…🙏🙏🙏
